On August 12th, 2024, Meckley Royal Riders proudly hosted a Free Medical Camp at Taret Khul Village, located in Sawombung, Imphal East. This significant initiative was part of our ongoing and dedicated efforts to extend support and provide critical relief to individuals impacted by the recent communal riots in the state. The camp was designed to deliver essential medical services and screenings to those in need, regardless of their financial circumstances, and to offer much-needed support to the relief campers residing in the area.

The Free Medical Camp was meticulously organized with a clear focus on addressing the immediate health concerns and promoting preventive care. The event saw the involvement of a distinguished team of medical professionals from JNIMS and RIMS, including the esteemed Dr. Naresh, Dr. Ronald Mutum, Dr. Ipsita, Dr. Ajay Rajkumar, and Dr. Tampha. Each of these doctors brought a wealth of experience in general medicine, contributing their expertise to the comprehensive care provided during the camp. They were supported by a dedicated group of staff nurses, whose commitment and hard work were crucial to the smooth operation and success of the event.

Throughout the day, the camp offered a broad spectrum of medical services, ranging from basic health check-ups to detailed consultations with specialists. The medical team conducted thorough assessments of the attendees, addressing a variety of health concerns and providing appropriate treatments. This aspect of the camp was particularly significant as it ensured that individuals received the care they needed in a timely manner.

In addition to medical care, the camp also focused on addressing other essential needs of the campers. Free medicines were distributed to help manage various health issues, ensuring that attendees had access to the necessary treatments without financial barriers. Sanitary napkins were provided to maintain the comfort and hygiene of the participants, further underscoring our commitment to their well-being.

A vital component of the camp was the provision of nutritious meals. A substantial number of meals were served to support the dietary needs of the campers, which was a crucial aspect of ensuring their overall health and vitality during their stay at the relief camp. This focus on nutrition was intended to complement the medical care provided and contribute to the overall welfare of the attendees.

The camp successfully catered to a total of 140 individuals. Out of this number, approximately 90 individuals received tailored medical care and support, reflecting the dedicated efforts of the medical team in addressing their specific needs.
